Pike Place Market Flower Festival
Looking for things to do this weekend for Mother’s Day? This Saturday and Sunday, May 8 & 9th head into Seattle’s Pike Place Market for the Flower Festival.
Over 30 flower farmers will be there offering beautiful bouquets for sale in this two day event. The variety of flowers and all the rainbow of colors will make choosing a bouquet a hard task indeed. Flower bouquets from local farmers are a perfect gift for yourself and your mom.
In addition to all the flowers for sale, learn gardening tips from the experts, Ciscoe Morris of “Gardening with Ciscoe” will answer gardening questions on a stage, enjoy a cooking demo and get advice from Seattle Tilth’s Master Composters and the Garden Hotline.
For all of the gardeners out there who have their own little victory gardens, there will be plant starts for sale too.
There is so much more to do and see at Pike Place Market. You’ll have many restaurant choices to choose from for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Take the time to listen to live entertainment from street musicians, explore all the boutique shops and vegetable stands, and browse through all the local artists stalls that are selling their beautiful hand made creations. Happy Mother’s Day to all those moms out there.
