The Next Best Thing To Munich’s Oktoberfest

So you can’t get away to Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest, well then there is the next best thing. Travel over the Cascade Mountains to the picturesque Bavarian town of Leavenworth and party there.

Over the next two weekends October 9-10 and 16-17 you can get your fill of mouthwatering Brats and kraut, Schnitzel and of course for your main course of  beer.  There will be live music, arts and crafts, and Bavarian clothing sale (guys get your lederhosen here).

The 2.5 hour drive to Leavenworth is beautiful especially this time of year when the foliage is turning beautiful shades of reds, oranges, burgundies and yellows. Save some time to walk along Icicle Creek and stop at the roadside pullouts to really see the majestic mountain views. See you there. YA_YA_YA_YA!
